How splitting a team dinner bill became a tool
I kept splitting dinner bills with shared and personal orders by hand, so I built a calculator that runs right in the browser.
Every team dinner ends with the same question: so how much do I owe?
What made it tedious
- Everyone shared the pork belly and rice
- Only Chulsoo had cold noodles, and only Younghee had soju
- Someone opens a calculator, someone else rounds the numbers
When you try to match every last won, someone always ends up paying extra.
The rules

Shared items are split evenly, and each person’s total is rounded up to the nearest won.
